Millwall boss Ian Holloway frustrated after Huddersfield Town loss

Holloway: 'We weren't good enough'

Millwall manager Ian Holloway has admitted that his team failed to live up to expectations as they fell to a 3-1 home defeat to 10-man Huddersfield Town.

Nahki Wells was sent off for the visitors shortly after half-time with the score at 1-1, but Jacob Butterfield and James Vaughan goals won the game for the Terriers.

Holloway told the official Lions website: "It was as if the stuffing was knocked out of us after their second goal. Some of our play was unrecognisable.

"We've tried to win it too much and didn't play the ball into the right areas. We didn't do our jobs. The group now has to stay strong. We shouldn't let mistakes affect us like we did today.

"I want people to step to the plate. That wasn't anywhere near good enough. The games are coming thick and fast so I want to see an improvement on Tuesday night."

Millwall sit 22nd in the Championship table, two points adrift of safety.
