Sven Schipplock agrees Hamburg switch

Hoffenheim have confirmed that striker Sven Schipplock has agreed to join Hamburger SV.

The German, 26, has penned a three-year contract at the Volksparkstadion.

Schipplock scored 16 goals in 84 Bundesliga appearances for Hoffenheim after arriving from Stuttgart in 2011.

"It was an exciting time for me [at Hoffenheim], but now it was the right step to seek a new challenge," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "I will always have the best memories of the club and their fans."

Schipplock found the net three times in 25 games during the 2014-15 season.
