Hibernian claim victory at Cowdenbeath

Hibernian defeat Cowdenbeath thanks to goals from Fraser Fyvie and Jason Cummings.

Goals from Fraser Fyvie and Jason Cummings have given Hibernian victory over Cowdenbeath.

Franck Dja Djedje had a chance for the away side within the first minute, but his half-volley sailed narrowly over the bar.

Hibs were the stronger of the two sides but struggled to create any more opportunities in the opening half-hour.

However, the deadlock was soon broken, with Fraser Fyvie and Jason Cummings both getting on the scoresheet.

Fyvie found the bottom corner with a strike from the edge of the penalty area, while Cummings capitalised on poor defending for his 13th league goal of the season.

The visitors carried on to dominate in the second half, with Fyvie and Kenneth Adamson going close to extending their lead.

Hibs saw out the remaining minutes to claim all three points, meaning they remain second behind Hearts.
