Sunday's Bundesliga predictions including Hoffenheim vs. Mainz

Heidenheim vs. VfL Bochum (Sunday, 2.30pm)

Both teams will be fighting to return to winning ways when Heidenheim host VfL Bochum in the Bundesliga on Sunday.

Heidenheim were defeated 4-2 by Bayern Munich in their last game, while Bochum drew 1-1 against FC Koln.

We say: Heidenheim 2-1 VfL Bochum

Heidenheim's home form has been strong since gaining promotion to the Bundesliga for the first ever time, with Schmidt's side winning three of their five games at Voith-Arena. Even in their two defeats, they still scored twice on both occasions.

Although Bochum have proven tough to beat, scoring goals remains a major issue for them, with only Koln finding the back of the net less than Letsch's side. As such, we are struggling to envisage them gaining a positive result here given Heidenheim's firepower.

Hoffenheim vs. Mainz (Sunday, 4.30pm)

Both teams will be aiming to return to winning ways when Hoffenheim host Mainz 05 in the Bundesliga on Sunday.

Prior to the international break, Hoffenheim drew 1-1 away to Augsburg, while Mainz were involved in a goalless stalemate at SV Darmstadt 98.

We say: Hoffenheim 2-1 Mainz 05

Although Hoffenheim have lost four of their five home games in the Bundesliga this season, we expect Matarazzo's side to be relishing the prospect of facing depleted Mainz on Sunday.

The visitors have become tougher to beat in recent weeks, but their lack of a permanent manager and lack of numbers - particularly in defensive areas - means we can se them falling to a narrow defeat this weekend.
