Hearts players told to wait for wages

Hearts of Midlothian have informed their players that their next wage packet will be delayed.

The team has been told they may have to wait at least week before receiving payment, according to Sky Sports News.

Hearts are still suffering from financial difficulties after settling outstanding tax bill that threatened to put them out of business last month.

The news coincides the Scottish Football Association's decision to charge Rangers and club owner Craig Whyte for alleged breaches of disciplinary rules.

Hearts are in derby action against Edinburgh rivals Hibernian this weekend.
