Hearts players paid December wages

The players of Scottish Premier League side Hearts have been paid their December wages, the club has confirmed.

The Scottish PFA had submitted a formal complaint to the Scottish Football Association on behalf of the players.

The SFA had announced earlier in the day that the club had seven days to pay the 14 players their wages from last month.

The Edinburgh club had not paid their players on time in the previous three months.
