Getafe sign Lisandro Lopez on loan

A statement on Getafe's official website has confirmed that the club have signed Lisandro Lopez from Benfica on a season-long loan deal.

The 24-year-old, who arrived at the Portuguese side from Arsenal de Sarandi this summer, had been linked with a number of teams in the lower region of the Portuguese league.

However, Getafe have moved to acquire the services of the defender, who has made four international appearances for Argentina.

Lopez started his career with Chacarita Juniors in his home nation.
