Joachim Low unconcerned by threat of Germany's quarter-final opponents

Joachim Low jokes that he is "sleeping well" despite the prospect of Germany facing one of Italy or Spain in the next round of Euro 2016.

Germany manager Joachim Low has claimed that he will not be kept awake by the thought of facing off against one of Spain or Italy in the quarter-finals of Euro 2016.

The world champions booked their place in the last eight of the competition by seeing off Slovakia 3-0 in a comfortable manner on Sunday afternoon.

Germany will not find out their next opponents until the meeting between Euro 2012 finalists Spain and Italy on Monday, but Low has no major worries about facing off with either side.

"I'm sleeping well!" he is quoted as saying by Goal.com. "Both sides are among the favourites. Italy are very strong in defence and good in attack - they had six or seven on the bench in the third game.

"The Spanish have the best attacking game we've seen in recent years. They're different sides but they're among the top favourites."

Jerome Boateng, Mario Gomez and Julian Draxler were on the scoresheet for Germany against Slovakia, as Die Mannschaft kept their fourth clean sheet of the tournament - more than they have recorded in any other edition of the European Championships.
