Team News: Bastian Schweinsteiger returns for Germany

Bastian Schweinsteiger will represent Germany for the first time since their 2014 World Cup victory as he captains his country in this afternoon's Euro 2016 Group D qualifier against Georgia.

The Bayern Munich midfielder missed the start of the season through injury, but starts here in a midfield two alongside Toni Kroos.

Jonas Hector is the surprise inclusion at full-back in a team that also includes the likes of Mario Gotze, Marco Reus and Mesut Ozil.

For the hosts, 29-year-old Jaba Kankava skippers the team on what will be his 54th international appearance.

Meanwhile, Empoli striker Levan Mchedlidze and Racing Genk's Tornike Okriashvili are also in the XI.

Germany currently sit second in Group D having collected seven points from their four matches, while Georgia sit fifth on just three points.
