Fiorentina grind out win at Genoa

Fiorentina have extended their unbeaten run to four matches in Serie A thanks to a 1-0 win at Genoa.

The only goal of the game came with 14 minutes played as Manuel Pasqual got on the end of Gonzalo Rodriguez's perfectly-weighted long pass before lifting the ball over the onrushing Sebastien Frey.

Adem Ljajic and Mounir El Hamdaou had chances to extend the visitors' lead in the second half, but they were unable to find the target.

The victory has moved Vincenzo Montella's side to within a point of fourth-placed Lazio, while Genoa stay in 16th place.
