David Stockdale commits future to Fulham

Stockdale commits to Fulham

Fulham goalkeeper David Stockdale has insisted that he would like to remain at the club following their relegation to the Championship.

The Cottagers were relegated from the Premier League after a 4-1 defeat at Stoke City on Saturday.

Stockdale, who helped Hull City to win promotion from the second tier during a loan spell last season, has said that he has no plans to leave Craven Cottage.

"I've got a year left on my contract, so I'll be fighting for promotion if the club wants to keep me," the 28-year-old told Get West London.

"I was there last year with Hull. You need hard work, dedication to the cause and players who are willing to go through a brick wall for the club. I'll put my hands up and say 'I'm one of them'.

"I'll do everything for the club who gave me a chance. Whoever is around the club needs to pull in the same direction."

Fulham's final Premier League game is against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
