Riise keen on Norway return

Fulham defender John Arne Riise has suggested that he would like to move back to his native Norway in the New Year.

The 33-year-old recently revealed that he was thinking about leaving the Premier League club in January after falling down the pecking order at Craven Cottage.

Riise now admits that he could be tempted to join his brother Bjorn Helge Riise at Norwegian side Lillestrom.

"I have lived abroad for almost half of my life," he told TV2 Sporten.

"The time might be right to move home in the New Year. It would be cool to end my career together with my brother in Lillestrom.

"But I haven't made a final decision about what I will do yet. In any case, I feel as though I can play for another four or five years."

Riise's current contract with Fulham is due to expire next summer.
