Jol hopes for Hangeland deal

Fulham manager Martin Jol has admitted that contract talks with Brede Hangeland are imminent as the club try to secure the Norwegian with a long-term deal.

The 31-year-old's contract expires at the end of the season, but Jol has made it clear that he hopes Hangeland will commit his future to Fulham.

Jol told The Chronicle: "There will be an appointment as we try to keep him here for the long-term.

"If that is not possible, then we will try to keep him for the next two years."

Hangeland has scored 11 goals in 209 appearances for Fulham since arriving at Craven Cottage in 2008.
