Fulham sign Euro 2016 star Ragnar Sigurdsson

Fulham have announced the signing of Ragnar Sigurdsson from FC Krasnodar on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

The 30-year-old played a key part in Iceland's impressive run to the quarter-finals of Euro 2016 this summer, particularly when helping his nation past England in the last-16 stage by opening the scoring in Nice.

Sigurdsson has since been linked with a switch to Premier League sides Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur, but it is Championship outfit Fulham who have won the race for his signature.

Fulham, who also revealed that a new contract has been signed by Lasse Vigen Christensen on Tuesday afternoon, have the chance to extend the defender's terms by a further 12 months should they wish.

Sigurdsson has been a regular at the back for Russian side Krasnodar since joining in 2013 and also boasts Champions League and Europa League experience.
