Team News: Cauley Woodrow leads Fulham line against Newcastle United

Woodrow leads Fulham line

Teenage striker Cauley Woodrow will play as the lone striker in a much-changed Fulham lineup for the Premier League visit of Newcastle United this afternoon.

The 19-year-old makes his home debut, with £12m club-record signing Kostas Mitroglou and Darren Bent both left out of the squad completely.

Cottagers boss Felix Magath makes five alterations from the side that lost 3-1 to relegation rivals Cardiff City last weekend, with David Stockdale replacing Maarten Stekelenburg in between the posts.

There is a recall for Fernando Amorebieta in defence as Jonny Heitinga switches to right-back, while Pajtim Kasami, Alex Kacaniklic and William Kvist are all included in a midfield that is without Scott Parker.

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew begins his seven-game suspension today, with assistant manager John Carver relaying the message from the dugout to a team which welcomes back Fabricio Coloccini.

The Magpies skipper returns to a visiting defence which is without the injured Mathieu Debuchy, whose French compatriot Loic Remy is also sidelined and therefore Papiss Cisse and Luuk de Jong play up front.

Fulham: Stockdale; Heitinga, Hangeland, Amorebieta, Richardson; Kasami, Kvist, Sidwell, Kacaniklic; Holtby; Woodrow Subs: Stekelenburg, Riise, Rodallega, Dejagah, Roberts, Riether, Burn

Newcastle: Krul; Yanga-Mbiwa, Coloccini, Williamson, Dummett; Sissoko, Anita, Tiote, Gouffran; De Jong; Cisse Subs: Alnwick, Haidara, S Taylor, Marveaux, Gosling, Armstrong, Shola Ameobi
