David Stockdale: 'We're bulldogs and we'll keep fighting'

Fulham goalkeeper David Stockdale issues a rallying cry to his teammates ahead of a crucial run-in.

Fulham goalkeeper David Stockdale has issued a rallying cry to his teammates ahead of their game at Tottenham Hotspur.

Two wins in a row have revived the Cottagers' faint survival hopes, leaving them two points from safety with four games to go.

Their goalkeeper wants to keep their run going and is confident that the Fulham players are up for the fight.

"We will stay up because we're Fulham," Stockdale told The Telegraph. "Because we're bulldogs and we'll keep fighting.

"I'm from the barracks. If you need to get going in a war, I'd step up. I'd pick Steve Sidwell. I'd pick Scott Parker and Brede Hangeland. Hugo Rodallega has come in and shown he can do it. I call them 'the bulldogs'.

"The people we bring here are people who want to fight for the club and are also good people. People pull together. A few of the lads had a talk recently. 'Do you understand where you are' I said, 'you're at Fulham football club. We can't just let this crumble into nothing and fade away'."

Fulham travel to Spurs in Saturday's early Premier League fixture.
