Felix Magath hails David Stockdale

Fulham boss Felix Magath praises keeper David Stockdale for his performance in helping his side attain all three points in their clash with Norwich City.

Fulham boss Felix Magath has hailed the performance of keeper David Stockdale in his side's win over Norwich City.

Stockdale made two crucial saves to deny Ricky van Wolfswinkel and Leroy Fer to help the Cottagers secure three vital points against the drop.

Magath told the club's official website: "Today I'm sure he was our best man and he saved the win for us.

"There is nothing without risk so sure it was a risk [to swap keepers] because Maarten [Stekelenburg] is a very good goalkeeper too.

"I told you, it was not the abilities that I have seen, I took him out because Stockdale is a goalkeeper who talks more with his teammates."

Fulham are 18th in the Premier League and are now just two points adrift of safety.
