Aaron Hughes: 'Fulham must stay positive'

Aaron Hughes urges his Fulhamm teammates to stay positive in their battle to avoid relegation from the Premier League.

Fulham defender Aaron Hughes has told his teammates to remain positive as they look to avoid relegation from the Premier League.

The Cottagers are currently three points from safety in the table following Saturday's 3-0 defeat at fellow strugglers West Ham United.

"We've just got to keep going and believing in ourselves," he told the club's official website. "When you're in the middle of a bad run the last thing you want to do is let your head drop, feel sorry for yourself and make excuses.

"We just have to all pull together and try and get through this busy period coming up when there are a lot of games and you can pick up a lot of points quickly.

"We have to try and be positive and take the things we're doing on the training pitch into games."

Fulham return to Premier League action on Wednesday when they play host to Tottenham Hotspur.
