Lewis Holtby praises Fulham team spirit

Lewis Holtby praises the team spirit at Fulham as the club battles to stay in the Premier League.

Lewis Holtby has praised the team spirit at Fulham as the club battles against relegation from the Premier League.

The Cottagers, who are four points adrift of safety at the bottom of the table, continue their campaign at home to Liverpool tonight.

Holtby believes that it is important for the players to remain positive between now and the end of the season if they want to secure their top-flight status.

"We've got really good lads in the dressing room and everyone's bonding really well and that's what you've got to have, especially in dark times like now when we're not winning much," he told the club's official website.

"You have to keep that faith up, you have to get a winning mentality in the dressing room, you have to think positive. That's very important - you can't let yourself down, you can't get depressed, because there are a lot of games to play. It's so vital, even against these big teams now, that we get some points and get a belief in the team."

Holtby joined Fulham on loan from Tottenham Hotspur last month on a deal until the summer.
