Danny Murphy wants to extend playing career

Murphy determined to keep playing

Fulham captain Danny Murphy has insisted that he is still capable of playing at the top level in the Premier League.

The 35-year-old, who will come to the end of his current deal with the Cottagers in the summer, has insisted that he has no intentions of hanging up his boots just yet.

"Every time I go out there, I enjoy it more and more," the Daily Star quotes Murphy as saying. "As long as the legs keep taking me, I'll keep playing.

"I feel okay at the moment. It's nice to have the odd breather now and then, but I love playing. I'm enjoying it more than ever."

Martin Jol's side currently sit 10th in the Premier League, with seven games left to play.
