Pajtim Kasami: 'Best goal of my career'

Pajtim Kasami admits that his volley to bring Fulham level in their 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace was the best goal that he has scored in his career to date.

Fulham winger Pajtim Kasami has admitted that he has never scored a better goal than his volley in the 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Monday night.

The Swiss international controlled a Sascha Riether pass on his chest before shooting powerfully from the right corner of the box beyond Eagles goalkeeper Julian Speroni to equalise for the Whites.

Adrian Mariappa had earlier put Palace ahead, but another fine volley from Steve Sidwell and further strikers from Dimitar Berbatov and Philippe Senderos earned Fulham a second straight win.

"No, to be honest," Kasami told Sky Sports News when asked if he has scored a better goal.

"I'm very pleased that we won that game as we were losing 1-0. Thanks to Sascha for the great ball and it was an unbelievable goal. I'm very pleased.

"I saw Sascha had the ball and saw I could run in the space. It came perfect to my chest and I took it direct with my right foot."

Kasami's second goal of the season helped the Cottagers climb four places to 14th in the Premier League.
