Fulham manager Martin Jol has tipped last summer's £10m signing Bryan Ruiz to shine for the Whites after a difficult first season in the Premier League.
Ruiz struggled in his first six months before breaking a metatarsal just as he was hitting form, and the Costa Rican made a scoring return in Fulham's 3-0 friendly win over Wycombe Wanderers today.
Jol says he is confident Ruiz can show Fulham's fans what they were missing last season.
"It was good to see Bryan Ruiz back to full fitness," Goal.com quotes Jol as saying. "He showed some very good touches and I thought he was the best man on the pitch.
"He's a terrific player so hopefully he can show our fans now. He needed six months to adapt, and I thought [in] the last few months after that he was good.
"Then he had a horrific injury and was out for four or five months, so I was very happy to see him back."
Ruiz scored two league goals for Fulham last season.
