Martin Jol pleased with "wonderful" signing of Scott Parker

Fulham manager Martin Jol has expressed his delight at signing midfielder Scott Parker from Tottenham Hotspur.

The 32-year-old put pen to paper on a three-year contract at Craven Cottage yesterday.

Jol said: "He works tirelessly for his team and is a fantastic player both on and off the ball.

"It is wonderful to see a player of his stature playing for Fulham Football Club as he has shown his qualities in the Premier League and for the England team for many years."

Fulham will become the fifth top-flight English club that Parker has played for.

He has made over 300 Premier League appearances during spells at Charlton Athletic, Chelsea, Newcastle United, West Ham United and Spurs.
