Fulham manager Martin Jol calls on his side to show more effort in their remaining games following the 4-2 defeat to Reading on Saturday.

Fulham boss Martin Jol has urged his side to change their mentality for their remaining games and start to pick up points.

Jol's side slumped to their fourth successive defeat in the 4-2 loss to Reading on Saturday.

The Dutch coach was left frustrated by the result and called on his side to show the same spirit as the relegation candidates, particularly as his side are not yet safe themselves.

"That is disappointing," said the former Tottenham Hotspur manager. "We had 40 points at a very early stage, so that was remarkable.

"After that the pressure was a bit off us and now you see all these teams like Aston Villa and, before Monday, Sunderland with Paolo Di Canio picking up points.

"They got spirit from that and that is what we need as well, because I feel you need to take things into your hands and you need another three points."

Fulham are currently in 12th place in the league table, five points above the relegation zone.
