Jardim, Villas-Boas rejected Fulham?

Leonardo Jardim and Andre Villas-Boas reportedly turned down the opportunity to manage Fulham.

The Cottagers announced on Wednesday that they had replaced Slavisa Jokanovic with Claudio Ranieri, but owner Shadid Khan revealed in an official statement that a number of other bosses had been in contention.

A report has suggested that Arsene Wenger was contacted over the position, and according to The Telegraph, Jardim and Villas-Boas were also considered for the role at the West Londoners.

Jardim - who has also been linked with Real Madrid and Southampton - has been out of work since being sacked by Monaco in October, but it appears that the 44-year-old is prepared to wait for his next stint in the dugout.

Villas-Boas has previously managed Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, with the Portuguese's most recent role at Shanghai SIPG coming to an end last November.
