Raymond Domenech: 'Karim Benzema is useless'

Former France coach Raymond Domenech has branded striker Karim Benzema as "useless".

The former Les Bleus coach took to Twitter to criticise the performance of the Real Madrid forward during France's 3-1 win against Georgia.

"I had already said it: Benzema confirms his uselessness," tweeted Domenech.

"[Franck] Ribery is still inconsistent. [Mathieu] Valbuena and [Blaise] Matuidi are certain to face Spain."

Benzema failed to find the net against the Georgians, meaning he has not scored for his country in 929 minutes of football.
