France's Paul Pogba: 'I wasn't being cocky during Albania draw'

Pogba denies being "cocky"

France midfielder Paul Pogba has admitted that he has learned from his side's draw with Albania, but insists that he was "not cocky".

The Juventus star was at fault for Albania's opening goal in Friday's friendly after getting beaten to a cross by Mergim Mavraj, but Antoine Griezmann was able to respond to earn France a 1-1 draw in Rennes.

"I would say it was a good lesson for me," FourFourTwo quotes Pogba as saying. "It's true that I was on a roll and the game against Albania taught me because you have to get down.

"I was not cocky, but you never know. Against Albania, it was a tough game - the player I was defending on scored, it happens. Even to the best, they won't always play good games, and it's a good lesson for me."

Last month, Pogba signed a new five-year contract at Juventus.
