Clint Hill to join Joey Barton at Fleetwood Town?

Clint Hill is reportedly on the verge of joining Joey Barton's backroom team at Fleetwood Town.

The duo, who were teammates at Queens Park Rangers and Rangers, will link up at the League One outfit when Barton takes up his post in June, according to Sky Sports News.

Barton will begin his first managerial role in the summer when his FA-imposed ban for breaching betting regulations expires.

The former Manchester City player has also been tipped to add former Huddersfield Town boss Steve Eyre to his coaching setup.

Hill is currently on the books at Carlisle United.
