Feyenoord edge out Cambuur for fourth straight win

Feyenoord extend their winning run to four matches in the Eredivisie thanks to a narrow 1-0 victory away to Cambuur.

High-flying Feyenoord have made it four wins in a row in the Eredivisie thanks to a narrow 1-0 victory away to Cambuur.

The only goal of the game came eight minutes before half time when Jens Toornstra slotted in at the second time of asking for his fourth strike of the season.

Feyenoord pushed for a second goal at the start of the second half as Sven van Beek and Toonstra both failed to find the target with their respective efforts.

The home side's failure to build on their lead allowed Cambuur to apply some late pressure at the other end, but Martijn Barto fired wide before Bartholomew Ogbeche shot the wrong side of the post.
