Report: Sheffield Wednesday eye Aiden McGeady loan deal

Sheffield Wednesday have reportedly explored the possibility of signing Everton winger Aiden McGeady on a six-month loan deal.

Roberto Martinez recently confirmed that three clubs had expressed an interest in securing the 29-year-old's services on a temporary basis.

According to The Mirror, one of those teams is Championship promotion-hunting Wednesday.

However, the report adds that the Owls may struggle to pay the entirety of McGeady's weekly wage.

The Republic of Ireland international has made just one appearance for the Toffees this season.
