Report: Everton to move for Jonas

Everton are reportedly interested in signing Valencia attacker Jonas in the January transfer window.

The 29-year-old has netted eight times for the former Spanish champions this season, including a treble in his side's 3-0 win over Osasuna at the weekend.

According to AS, Everton have been monitoring developments at the Mestalla over the last few months and are preparing to move for the Brazilian when the winter window opens in 2014.

It is believed that the Premier League outfit have already offered in the region of £8m for the attacker, but Valencia could demand double that figure for a player that has scored 19 times in each of his last two seasons in Spain.
