Report: Everton to launch £25m Cresswell bid

Everton plan on bringing in Aaron Cresswell from West Ham United at the end of the season with a £25m offer, according to a report.

The 28-year-old is well known by Toffees boss Sam Allardyce, who signed him from Ipswich Town during his time in East London.

Allardyce is said to remain a big fan of the England international, and The Sun suggests that he intends to snap up the left-back as competition for Leighton Baines next season.

Cresswell is from Liverpool and is rumoured to be interested in a return to Merseyside if Everton come calling.

A source is quoted by the publication as saying: "Aaron is keen on moving back to Liverpool and Everton would be a great move for him."

Capped three times for England, Cresswell is in contention to form part of Gareth Southgate's squad for this summer's World Cup finals.
