Report: Everton chasing Loris Karius

Everton have reportedly stepped up their interest in Mainz 05 goalkeeper Loris Karius.

The Toffees are expected to be in the market for a new keeper in the summer, with veteran stopper Tim Howard having secured a move to MLS outfit Colorado Rapids.

According to The People, the custodian at the top of the Goodison Park outfit's shortlist is Karius.

The report adds that the 22-year-old has had scouts from a number of Premier League clubs over to watch him in action this season.

It is believed that Mainz value their former Germany Under-21 international at £10m.
