Alex Manninger given Everton trial

Former Arsenal goalkeeper Alex Manninger has reportedly been handed a trial at Everton.

The 35-year-old Swiss has been without a club since the summer following his release from Italian giants Juventus.

He has now been given the chance to prove himself again in England at Goodison Park, according to the Daily Mail.

Manninger won the Premier League and FA Cup during a five-year spell with the Gunners before moving to Espanyol in 2002.
