Everton target King as Lukaku replacement?

Everton boss Ronald Koeman has reportedly targeted a January move for Bournemouth striker Joshua King as he looks to fill the void left by Romelu Lukaku.

The Toffees have failed to bring in a true like-for-like replacement for the Belgian ace, who joined Manchester United during the summer in a £75m transfer.

Koeman has now stepped up plans to bring in a new focal point in attack, according to The Sun, with King the man he wants to lead the line in the second half of the season.

It is claimed that the 25-year-old's versatility is another reason why Everton are so keen to bring him on board, and they are therefore prepared to meet his £20m valuation.

King, tipped to join Tottenham Hotspur in the summer window, netted 16 goals in the Premier League last season and has one to his name in 2017-18, coming against Everton in Saturday's meeting at Goodison Park.
