Everton monitor Arsenal trialist Brek Shea

Everton are reportedly keen on signing American defender Brek Shea.

The 21-year-old has been offered a trial at Arsenal but he could instead choose a switch to Goodison Park, according to The Mirror.

Manager David Moyes flew to France to watch the FC Dallas player in action at the weekend.

Shea is one of a number of players USA coach Jurgen Klinsmann has urged to seek loan moves to the Premier League over the winter to improve their play.
