Everton have reportedly taken former Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc on trial.
The Polish goalkeeper has been a free agent since leaving Serie A club Fiorentina at the end of last season.
In a recent interview, Boruc confirmed that he nearly joined Everton's Premier League rivals Queens Park Rangers before the R's opted to sign Brazilian international Julio Cesar.
"I almost signed with QPR before Julio Cesar became available but despite that I am looking forward to my next challenge," he said.
However, the 32-year-old could still be moving to England with the Toffees, according to ESPN.
The keeper has made 46 appearance for Poland.
