Thursday's Premier League predictions including Tottenham vs. West Ham

Everton vs. Newcastle (Thursday, 7.30pm)

Two Premier League teams at opposites ends of the table seeking to build on victories secured last weekend will lock horns at Goodison Park on Thursday night, as Everton play host to Newcastle United.

While the Toffees claimed a slender 1-0 away win over Nottingham Forest last Saturday, the Magpies beat Manchester United by the same scoreline on home soil just a few hours later.

We say: Everton 0-2 Newcastle United

Only Sheffield United (11) and Crystal Palace (14) have scored fewer Premier League goals than Everton (15) this season, and while a solitary goal was enough to claim maximum points at Forest last time out, they will need to up their game in the final third if they wish to breach a robust Newcastle outfit, who have kept the joint-most clean sheets (six) at this stage.

The Toffees have been a favourable opponent for the Magpies in recent years and despite the visitors' mounting injury troubles, we believe Howe still has enough quality at his disposal to steer his side to another victory at Goodison Park.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Spurs vs. West Ham (Thursday, 8.15pm)

Fresh from their six-goal thriller at the Etihad Stadium last weekend, Tottenham Hotspur return to North London to take on capital foes West Ham United in the Premier League on Thursday night.

The Hammers also enter this contest after picking up a point in a score draw with Crystal Palace on home soil last Saturday.

We say: Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 West Ham United

Considering that each of the last five games involving Tottenham have seen at least three goals scored and that West Ham have found the net in 10 of their last 11 meetings with Spurs, goals are to be expected on Thursday night.

Tottenham proved against Man City that they can battle with the best despite their lengthy injury list, and while West Ham should not be taken lightly by any means, the hosts should do enough to outscore their opponents en route to claiming their first three points since October 27.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.
