Preview: Everton vs. West Bromwich Albion

Everton vs. West Brom

Everton will hope to bring a halt to a five-game winless streak in the Premier League when they host West Bromwich Albion on Monday night.

Four defeats in five have left the Toffees 10 points adrift of rivals Liverpool, who currently sit in eighth place, while one win in 12 matches in all competitions have heaped the pressure on manager Roberto Martinez.

The Spaniard revealed at his pre-match press conference that defensive pair Tony Hibbert and Sylvain Distin face late fitness tests after missing the FA Cup encounter at West Ham United.

After his dismissal at Upton Park, winger Aiden McGeady will sit out the contest because of a one-match suspension, but Kevin Mirallas is available to replace the Irishman.

New West Brom head coach Tony Pulis has enjoyed a positive start at The Hawthorns since he replaced Alan Irvine at the start of the year.

The former Crystal Palace chief has witnessed the Baggies hit seven in the FA Cup against Gateshead before they edged out Hull City by a 1-0 scoreline last weekend.

The starting lineup from that fixture could remain the same, but after he continued his poor form in England, forward Brown Ideye is in danger of being dropped to the bench.

Everton:

Form in Premier League: WLLLLD Form in all competitions: LLLDDD

Possible starting lineup: Joel; Baines, Jagielka, Stones, Coleman; Besic, Barry; Mirallas, Naismith, Barkley; Lukaku

West Bromwich Albion:

Possible starting lineup: Foster, Wisdom, McAuley, Lescott, Baird, Yacob, Morrison, Brunt, Sessegnon, Berahino, Ideye

Sports Mole says: 2-1
