David Moyes to ease Nikica Jelavic in

David Moyes has said that he will ease new signing Nikica Jelavic into Premier League life.

The striker came on in the last half-hour of Everton's 1-1 draw with Wigan this weekend after signing for £5m from Rangers last week.

"He is one for the long-term and I will bring him in gradually," Moyes said.

"He will score goals but adds other things to the team, like bringing other players into the game. "He is a proven international centre-forward and raises the level."

Jelavic scored 36 goals in 55 games in the SPL.
