Roberto Martinez has said that managing Everton at Goodison Park for the first time will be "special".
The Spaniard will take charge of his first home game on Sunday when Real Betis head to Merseyside for the Toffees' final pre-season friendly.
The manager told the club's website: "It will be special being at Goodison as the home team manager for the first time.
"I've already had the opportunity to see what a magnificent away support we have, not just in the UK.
"I know how intense the feeling at Goodison can be and that's a very important weapon that we need to use in the future."
Martinez left the managerial post at Wigan Athletic to replace David Moyes earlier this summer.
