Leighton Baines to miss Everton tour of Asia

Leighton Baines has been left out of Everton's pre-season tour of Asia through injury.

The England international defender is currently recovering from the ankle surgery that he underwent back in May.

Baines, 30, scored three goals in 37 appearances for the Toffees last season.

Darron Gibson and Bryan Oviedo have also been left out of the 24-man party with a broken foot and broken toe respectively.

Everton face Swindon Town in a friendly on Saturday before flying out to the Far East to take part in the Barclays Asia Trophy.
