Ronald Koeman believes that Everton deserved to claim at least a point in their Premier League clash against Manchester United on Sunday.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman has claimed that his side deserved at least a point in Sunday's Premier League clash against Manchester United.

The Toffees conceded on the stroke of half time at Goodison Park, courtesy of a Zlatan Ibrahimovic strike, but Leighton Baines converted a late penalty conceded by former Evertonian Marouane Fellaini for a share of the spoils.

Koeman told BBC Sport after the game: "The whole team performance was positive and we showed great organisation from the start. We made it difficult for United to create anything.

"We went 1-0 down through a mistake which was disappointing, of course. One point was the minimum what we deserved.

"It was a fair result. We're still unbeaten at home so we are very happy."

The result sees Everton climb to eighth in the Premier League table.
