Everton confirm Barkley toe fracture

Everton have confirmed that midfielder Ross Barkley has fractured his toe.

The youngster has been out of action since sustaining the problem during the Toffees' 4-0 win over Queens Park Rangers in the FA Cup on January 4.

It is currently unclear how long the England international will remain on the sidelines, although reports have suggested that he may be absent for up to six weeks.

Barkley has scored four goals in 20 games for Everton so far this season.
