Everton boss David Moyes reveals that Leighton Baines has sustained a hamstring injury, meaning that he is now a doubt for the game against Manchester City on Saturday.

Everton boss David Moyes has revealed that Leighton Baines could miss Saturday's clash with Manchester City through injury.

The defender sustained an injury to his hamstring in the 1-1 draw with Arsenal on Wednesday night.

Baines has been in fine form for the Toffees this season and Moyes is hoping that he will make it back in time for the game at the Etihad Stadium.

"Leighton's got a hamstring injury," said Moyes

"He felt it in the game and played on in the last 10 or 15 minutes,

"I felt we put in a lot of energy [in the game] but it might take its toll."

Baines joined Everton from Wigan Athletic in 2007.
