Antolin Alcaraz ruled out for two weeks

Everton defender Anolin Alcaraz is ruled out for two weeks due to muscle fatigue.

Everton defender Antolin Alcaraz will be sidelined for the next two weeks due to muscle fatigue.

The Paraguayan followed manager Roberto Martinez to the Premier League outfit in the summer after signing from Wigan Athletic.

Alcaraz has been plagued by injuries this season, making just three appearances for the Toffees in all competitions, and his return to action has now been cut short with the 31-year-old ruled out for the next fortnight.

A statement on the club's official website read: "Defender Antolin Alcaraz is suffering muscle fatigue and is expected to be out for a fortnight."

Alcaraz is likely to miss games against West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League and an FA Cup fourth-round clash with Stevenage.
