Espanyol have extended their unbeaten run in La Liga to six matches with a 1-0 win at home to Real Betis.

The victory has seen Javier Aguirre's side move up to 12th place in the table.

The only goal of the game came with seven minutes on the clock as Sergio Garcia volleyed past Adrian.

The defeat has seen Betis slip down to eighth place in the standings.
