Joe Hart rues "scrappy" Montenegro goal

Joe Hart says that England made it hard for themselves against Montenegro on Tuesday.

England goalkeeper Joe Hart has bemoaned the manner in which his side conceded the equaliser against Montenegro on Tuesday night.

The Three Lions threw away the lead to draw 1-1 against the group leaders in Podgorica, which has left them two points behind their opponents in second in Group H.

Hart is disappointed that his side did not take their first-half momentum into the second half.

"First half, thoroughly in control; second half, we made it hard for ourselves and we had to dig deep," Hart told Sky Sports News.

"It was a scrappy goal. I'd imagine they'll say it was coming but I think that was the only way they were going to score, with the ball bobbling around and someone being in the right place at the right time."

England's next World Cup qualifier is against Moldova in September.
