Leighton Baines impressed by "amazing" Luke Shaw

Leighton Baines believes that Luke Shaw will be an England regular for the next 15 years.

Everton defender Leighton Baines has claimed that Luke Shaw is likely to play a key role in England's future.

The pair were selected for the World Cup ahead of the more experienced Ashley Cole, and Baines believes that the Southampton left-back has shown the qualities needed to become an England regular.

"He's been amazing," the 29-year-old is quoted as saying by the Daily Star. "Luke and some of the other younger lads have been great for English football - the emergence of that young talent and the fact that Roy has been bold enough to include them.

"Luke is one of the ones who is now at the forefront of the squad. How old is he now - 18?

"He is going to be an England international for the next 12-15 years."

Recent reports have suggested that Manchester United will attempt to sign Shaw before the start of the World Cup.
