England striker Daniel Sturridge will reportedly have a late fitness test on a thigh injury ahead of Friday's World Cup qualifier against San Marino.

The 23-year-old Liverpool forward is thought to have aggravated the problem during training this week.

He could now be forced to sit out the Group H fixture at the Serravalle Stadium, according to the Daily Mail.

Sturridge has made four appearances for England at senior level following his debut in 2011.
